Staying safe is the most important thing in an armwrestling match, here are some tips for that:
It only takes 14 pounds of pressure to break your arm when your wrist is outside of your shoulder. In many sports you are told to stay open and loose, but in armwrestling you need to stay tight and keep your arm close to your body. There are certain positions in armwrestling that are very dangerous, such as the deadwrist press and break-arm-position. Come to one of our practices for a more extensive guide on safety.
