Getting up on a stage at an armwrestling tournament can be scary, trust me I know. Here is some info of what to expect at a tournament:

Weigh in's generally start the day before the tournament, although you can sign up day of (just get there early).
A weigh in is a fancy term for "Signing Up" this will also determine what weight class you will fall into (that is a term of categorization that ensures that a 120 pound guy will never armwrestle a 190 pound guy, just to keep thing fair).

Once the tournament begins, make sure you listen for your name to be called! If you hear your name called, and they state that you are "On Deck" that means that you will be competing next, so get ready. Until you are eliminated be on point! The announcer will only call you a certain number of times before you forfeit!

Always warm up before a tournament to reduce the risk of injury (and at a tournament if you can find a table).

If you are offered a riser (A wood board that you stand on to raise you up) always take it, grab every bit of height that you can.

CHALK UP! You can never have too much chalk, it will only help you!

At the end of each event they will hand out awards so if you placed, be sure to stick around.

After awards and the tournament is done, they will have what is called "Afterpulls". that is basically where everyone can armwrestle everyone. it is all for fun, so if you want to pull the number one guy just to learn his secrets, now is the best time.
